Amadio 2017 Chardonnay – South Australia
I recently teamed up with Wine Selectors to try out the new customised wine plan experience. I think you guys are going to love it! Basically, you choose the grape varieties and styles of wine you like and then they send you a selection based on your choices.
Naturally being a Chardonnay lover, I had to include a few bottles of Chardy in my box.
Check out my Chardonnay Guide to learn more about this awesome grape variety!
Amadio Wines is a 5-star James Halliday winery. It’s a family owned and operated winery, now in its 3rd generation. The winery is named after Giovanni Amadio who arrived in Australia in 1927 from Italy.
Mr Spittoon and I really enjoyed this Chardy, here are my notes:
In the glass, it’s a pale yellow shade. The nose is rather vanilla-ry buttery with honeyed citrus, mango, and apricots. While in the mouth it’s smooth and juicy with an incredibly refreshing citrus-driven finish. It’s a very easy drinking, clean and fresh Chardonnay.
Please note: All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
This bottle was sent to me as a sample from Wine Selectors.
