Adelina ‘Refusal to Lie’ 2018 Chardonnay
I’m loving this label. In fact the entire Adelina wine range has some super funked up labels which are definitely worth checking out.
I received this sample bottle in my latest Good Pair Days pack (thank you!). The Adelina ‘Refusal to Lie’ 2018 Chardonnay hails from the Adelaide Hills region in South Australia.
It was hand picked and spent time in concrete tanks rather than oak. And it spent 6 months on its lees (lees are the residual yeast cells – this process adds further flavour, complexity and body to the wine).
Only 2514 bottles of this wine were made.
Here’s mine & Mr Spittoon’s verdict:
It’s a creamy yellow shade in the glass. Notes of fresh orchard fruits, refreshing citrus and hints of silky custard come through on the nose. While in the mouth it has good fruit acidity and wonderful zest to it. As the wine warms up in the glass it really smooths out with melon and guava coming through. Yum!

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
