Trentham Estate ‘The Family’ 2019 Vermentino
I say this every time I write about Vermentino, I love this white great variety! Especially in summer. I just love its crisp apple and citrus notes. If you’re looking for an alternative to Sauvignon blanc / a wine to go well with seafood, give Vermentino a whirl. I find it quite a soft yet incredibly refreshing white wine.
I received this sample bottle of the Trentham Estate ‘The Family’ 2019 Vermentino recently (thank you!) to taste. And boy did it go down a treat. We actually had it with some homemade wild rice fried rice and it worked really well with the freshness of the wine.
Here are our notes for it:
It’s a very pale yellow shade in the glass. The nose is so fresh and crips with apples, pears and a bit of tropical fruit in there too. It smells like a fresh fruit salad on a summers day. In the mouth those fruity notes flow through with some yummy pineapple and lime acidity especially. Super easy drinking.
This wine was given to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
