There are more than 50 wineries in the Gippsland region. Being more of a cool climate location, it means grape varieties like Chardonnay & Pinot Noir thrive around here.
We finally were able to catch up with some family on the weekend in real life instead of just on FaceTime (thanks COVID 🙁 ). Therefore I knew we had to have some extra special to accompany our lunch. The wonderful folks at Taltarni Vineyards here in Victoria sent us this sample bottle (thank you!).

This is one of those wines that is impossible to stop at just one glass. Trust me! Taltarni Vineyards kindly sent me this sample bottle to taste recently and it’s safe to say we enjoyed every last drop.

And this my friends, crafted from nearly 100 year old vines is pretty darn special. In fact it was not released until it achieved a wine trophy.
