We have so much
Chenin in our hose right now, it’s great.
This beauty is a sample from Good Pair Days (thank you!). This Jemma 2017 Chenin Blanc is made by Painted Wolf in Paarl, South Africa. Painted Wolf was set up by winemaker Jeremy and his wife Emma in 2007 as a small-scale experiment for when they weren’t helping to protect and champion the South African wild dog.
I love Chenin Blanc and I have
Perth’s Swan Valley to thank for that.
This one here is not from the Swan Valley, or even from Australia. It’s in fact from Stellenbosch in South Africa however it’s actually made by Aussie winemaker!

How cool is this label? I definitely believe what’s on the inside is what counts, however I do appreciate an interesting and eye-catching wine label when I see one.

Good Pair Days delivery last month (thank you for the sample pack guys!). Continue reading

Pinot Noir and Cinsault however it’s incredibly unique in taste in my opinion.
I received this bottle as a wonderful gift from Jose & Nelio from Copper & Oak Liquor Merchants in Perth. Thank you!! These guys have a great selection of South African wines and you can order online too. Continue reading
Yes, we did crack all of the last months The Travelling Corkscrew Wine Club bottles in the one night! Jeeze my parents drink like fish 😉
I even made South African Bunny Chow to go with the wines. Aka soak it all up I think.
This Scali 2016 ‘Sirkel’ Pinotage comes from Paarl in South Africa. See my last tasting note for more info on the Pinotage grape variety.
