Raventos i Blanc 2017 Cava Sparkling Wine – Spain
Pop the bubbly, it’s Friday!
I couldn’t go past this bottle of Raventos i Blanc 2017 Cava on the Good Pair Days site for my subscription box this month. It’s one of the more expensive bottles at $38 – however after visiting the Penedes region (the home of Cava) in 2011, I knew it was going to be good.
If you haven’t yet ordered from GPD’s after you do the ‘Palate Quiz’ to find out your recommended wines, make sure to add the code “travellingcorkscrew” at the checkout for a nice little discount.
On the eye this Spanish sparkler is a refreshing lemon yellow. On the nose it has a floral bouquet with whiffs of orchard fruits and zesty citrus. While in the mouth it’s smooth, creamy and utterly refreshing. I also really like the sound of the matching Blueberry and Ricotta Soufflé.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it. By using the above promo code I will receive a small amount of commission.
