Millon Wines Clare’s Secret 2017 Riesling
On the weekend I decided to make some Vietnamese rice paper rolls. And you can’t have rice paper rolls without wine right 😉
The day before we received a lovely lot of samples from Millon Wines to try (thank you!!). After weighing up our options we figured this Clare’s Secret 2017 Riesling from the Clare Valley would be an excellent accompaniment. And we weren’t wrong!
I love the uniqueness of this wine label as it’s heat sensitive! When you warm up the black square on the front with your palm, grapes appear! It made me feel like I was 13 again when I use to wear mood rings!
In the glass this Riesling is a lemon-lime shade. The nose has that wonderful fresh minerality, fresh flowers and herbs and a nip of pineapple and olive oil. While in the mouth it’s acidic and dry with plentiful lemon and lime flavours. A citrus bomb that can cure a case of thirst in no time!
