Framingham 2013 Classic Riesling
This is another Kiwi Riesling our Melbourne family decided to kindly share from their cellar.
Fun fact, I use to sell Framingham Wines when I worked at NZ wine retailer, Glengarry, 10 years ago while at uni in Auckland!
This Framingham Wines 2013 Classic Riesling hails from NZ’s Marlborough Region (top of South Island). They are based in Blenheim and have some of the oldest Riesling vines in Marlborough dating back to 1981.
This bottle had a bit of age on it through the colour in the glass didn’t give that away with its pale lemony-green shade. Wonderful fresh lemon curd with hints of lanolin and baking spice waft up from the glass while I found peaches and grapefruit on the palate. I’d like to try this one again in a few years.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine
