Logan 2019 Hannah Rose – Orange, NSW
Hands in the air if you love Rosé!
Introducing the Logan Wines 2019 ‘Hannah’ Rosé from Orange in NSW. This fairly new release is made from Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc I believe. Winemaker, Peter Logan, made their first rosé vintage especially for his wife, Hannah, for their wedding day because Rosé is Hannah’s favourite.
I took this sample bottle (thank you!!) to share with my parents since they’re fans of the Logan wines and boy were we in for a surprise with this one!
In the glass it’s a peachy amber colour. The nose is full of stonefruit, citrus, floral perfume and spice. It’s definitely on the edgey side for a Rosé which I think makes it deliciously interesting. In the mouth it’s super flavoursome with tangy orange peel, plums and a long lasting finish. It’s a big Rosé that really makes you think and challenges your preconceptions about Rosé!
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
