Fat Bastard 2018 Chardonnay

Dinner is never dull with a Fat Bastard at the table.
And the Fat Bastard in question is this ‘remarkedly full bodied’ Two Thousand & Eighteen Californian Chardonnay! A big thank you to Fat Bastard Wines & Modern Currency for sending over this free sample for us to try.
This spiel really made me chuckle:
“Fat Bastard Wines strive to embrace the Fat Bastard lifestyle, and we encourage you to do the same! It’s the kind of life where you don’t sniff into the glass for 20 minutes before tasting our wine. The one where you don’t need to wait for someone’s approval before opening a third, second bottle of wine. And, one where you enjoy demolishing a sumptuous cheese toastie for breakfast the morning after you’ve realised, you’ve never met a better bastard!”
So what was it like? Well.. it’s a beautiful sunrise yellow on the eye with delicious baking spice, honeyed nectarines, camomile and toasted almonds on the nose. It covers your mouth with flavour. Think smooth slurps of lemon, peach and apricot. A pretty decent bastard if I do say so.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
It sure is a delicious one Rose! You have good taste 😉
This wine is delish, buttery, soft Chardonnay is my favourite kind of wine. This is the perfect example of that style.
