Cloak and Dagger 2018 Prosecco – Victoria
It’s time to pop the Prosecco!
Firstly a big thanks to Good Pair Days for introducing me to this bubbly little number in the recent sample pack they sent me. I love getting to know new wine brands.
Cloak & Dagger hail from Victoria. It’s a project from winemaking duo Nina Stocker and Callie Jemmeson. These two women in wine have made wine around the world from France to Italy, America, New Zealand and Australia of course.
Prosecco is made from the Glera grape variety and the grapes for this 2018 Prosecco were harvested in the cool of the dawn to help retain all that yummy natural acidity.
It sure went down a treat in our house!
We found it a lemon-lime colour in the glass with whiffs of lime sherbet, Granny Smith apples and fresh minerality on the nose. In fact it made me think of the fresh chill in the morning air. In the mouth it’s got good citrus acidity but not in an overpowering way. It’s smooth and dry + one glass simply isn’t enough 😉
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
