A by Arras Premium Cuvee NV
While putting this weeks email newsletter together I decided to treat myself to a wee glass of bubbles (okay make that 3!).
This A by Arras NV Premium Cuvée I picked up for $25 from Dan Murphy’s. It’s made in Tasmania, which is super high on my wine travel bucket list right now as there are so many delicious wines coming out of this cool climate Aussie region. House of Arras have one heck of a good reputation when it comes to sparkling wine, so I knew this pocket rocket wouldn’t disappoint.
Fun Fact: In 2017 House of Arras won the ‘Best Sparkling Trophy’ at every capital city wine show in Australia!
In the glass I found this happy fizz a pale lemon shade with ‘come dance with me bubbles’. Crisp orchard fruit, grapefruit and a slight hint of anise comes through on the nose. While in the mouth it’s mesmerisingly smooth with lemon curd, melon and pear notes. It made me crave prosciutto for some reason.
