Wine Show of Western Australia – 2016 Results
Gosh WA we are so darn lucky to live in a state with so many awesome wines! The 2016 Wine Show of Western Australia has just come to a conclusion with the official awards dinner last Saturday night to celebrate the trophy winners. I was lucky enough to attend the event with Mr. Spittoon and today on the blog I wanted to share with you the trophy winners from the night.
During the week leading up to the awards dinner I attended the Top 50 Tasting at Print Hall. This was an opportunity for Perth wine-lovers to try all 50 wines which received gold medals at this years show. Check out my photos on Facebook from this tasting. It was from this pool of fabulous wines that the trophy winners were carefully chosen.
I was actually very excited to see many of my favourites from the tasting claim trophies at the awards night – which was a nice reassurance that my palate is in good working order! So enough blabbing, who were the talented WA wineries to claim trophies at this years show??

I would definitely recommend marking in your dairies the Top 50 Tasting and Awards Dinner for 2017 – these are both fabulous wine events and if you love WA wine then you can’t get much better than this.
The organising committee and everyone involved did a fabulous job. The food put on by the Hyatt Regency Perth, was simply divine – I definitely over ate and going by how my head felt the next day, I enjoyed trying a fair few of those trophy winning wines too!
