The Swan Valley Goes To Town – April 15th Degustation
***Unfortunately this event has been cancelled***
Honestly Perth, we are so darn lucky to have the Swan Valley on our doorstep. We are literally one of the closest major cities in the world to a wine region – it seriously doesn’t get better than that. All that delicious wine and local produce within a max 30 minute drive from the CBD – it’s bloody awesome if I do say so myself.
I know a lot of people feel like it’s a bit of a trek to the Swan Valley and then there’s the case of needing a sober driver. Well I have good news folks and it’s going to make your day…
The Swan Valley is heading to the city on Wednesday, April 15th as part of the Eat Drink Perth 2015 festival!
That’s right, an exclusive 5-course degustation will be held at Co-Op Dining in East Perth on April 15th at 6:30pm to celebrate the end of the 2015 vintage. Swan Valley Humane Food Region Ambassador, Chef Kiren Mainwaring will be treating you with tasty delights (I honestly tried my hardest to get a sneak peek at the menu for you guys, but it’s under lock and key, the only leak I got was that it would be AMAZING and full of local and seasonal produce!).
You can’t have a Swan Valley dinner without fabulous SV wine. So each course will be perfectly matched to some of the best tipples from the Valley. It seems like my skills of persuasion worked in this case and I have found the wine line-up especially for you, which you won’t find elsewhere 🙂
Here’s what you’ll be sipping on the night:
- On arrival, a glass of Trandos Estate Little Black Dog Sparkling Chenin Blanc (read my tasting note here)
- 2013 Kosovich Chardonnay
- 2006 Talijancich Reserve Verdelho
- Upper Reach Tempranillo
- Faber Vineyards Petit Verdot
- Neilson Estate NV White Tawny
It’s a fab and rather special line-up, as there are a couple of tipples in there from vineyards which don’t actually have a cellar door (Little Black Dog and Neilson). So having the chance to try them on the night will be brilliant.
Tickets for the dinner at $175pp and bookings are absolutely essential as there is a very limited number of places. To make a booking, give the team at Co-Op Dining a call on (08) 9221 0404.
Many thanks to the City of Swan for supplying the images for this post 🙂
