This Taltarni Vineyards Pyrenees 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon retails for $40 and was matured in both new and 15% new and seasoned French oak barriques for 14 months.
Whatâs classed as âold vineâ? Well in the case of this 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon from Taltarni, the vines were planted in the late 1960s. So at least 50 year old vines.
We finally were able to catch up with some family on the weekend in real life instead of just on FaceTime (thanks COVID đ ). Therefore I knew we had to have some extra special to accompany our lunch. The wonderful folks at Taltarni Vineyards here in Victoria sent us this sample bottle (thank you!).
