NEWSFLASH!! What’s new in the Swan Valley & Upcoming Events

Things are spicing up in the Swan Valley at the moment with new stores, cafés, accommodation options and more popping up here, there and everywhere. There’s also a host of cool events coming our way so I thought it was about time I put a post together to keep you all in the loop and no doubt tempt those taste buds out to Perth’s Valley of Taste.

What’s new in the Swan Valley?

• Moorish Nuts have now opened their doors. The nut and confectionary store is located in Herne Hill on Great Northern Highway.
• The permanent Marquee at Houghton Wines for functions and events.
• Aspen Parks Perth Vineyards Holiday Park have new 1, 2 & 3 bedroom cabins available. The holiday park is on Benara Road in Caversham, within walking distance to Pinellie Estate, Fillaudeau’s Cafe Restaurant and Ironbark Brewery to name a few.
• Fusion on Swan is a new cafe? open for breakfast, lunch or weekend dinner located just off West Swan Road.
• The City of Swan has just released its first conference and event planners’ guide. Featuring a number of different Swan Valley venues, restaurants and team building activities, this guide will soon be the number one go to for the corporate market.
• The Swan Valley has been named Australia’s first Humane Food Region, an initiative by the City of Swan and RSPCA WA in conjunction with the national Choose Wisely program. You can read all about it in my post here.
• Edgecombe Brothers Winery have decided to open their doors Friday & Saturday nights from 5-9pm offering a takeaway and dine in burger kitchen style menu. You can read all about it in my recent Edgies post.

What’s coming soon to the Swan Valley?

• As you may have seen in My Guide to the Swan Valley Breweries post recently, Mandoon Estate will be opening the doors on their microbrewery and gastropub – Homestead brewery in September 2014. There’ll be an a` la carte restaurant, outdoor bar, function rooms and it’ll be child friendly with a playground and all.
• Michael Brothers, The World’s Healthiest Juice Co. and The Naked Bakery are coming soon to the Valencia Complex on Benara Road.
