Rusty Mutt 2016 Sun Flare Rosé – McLaren Vale
Have you heard about the exciting new wine experience from Wine Selectors? I think you might love it just as much as you do a good bottle of rosé 😉
As I opted to include a couple of bottles of rose in mine (rose is great any time of the year right?!), this Rusty Mutt 2016 ‘Sun Flare’ Rosé was one of them. How cute is that label!
It’s made from McLaren Vale Grenache & Tempranillo in South Australia. We enjoyed it with a spicy Asian dish and it went down an absolute treat! Here are my notes:
Pale cherry red with a lick of magenta in the glass. The nose makes me think of fresh watermelon, lemongrass and an abundance of cherries and strawberries. While in the mouth it has a punch of flavour – think cranberry and watermelon with a lovely refreshing apple-ly finish. Easy drinking and perfect for Asian cuisine night!
This bottle was sent to me as a sample from Wine Selectors.
