Pinelli Estate 2018 Chenin Blanc
Chenin Blanc is a white wine grape variety originally from France. It can be made into a still or sparkling wine alongside being dry, off-dry or even made into dessert wine. Its naturally high acidity makes it a very versatile grape.
WA’s Swan Valley produces some stunning examples of wine made from Chenin Blanc and this Pinelli Estate Wines 2017 Chenin Blanc is one of those.
In the glass, it’s a pretty lemon shade with a hint of lime. Toasted grapefruit, freshly cut melon, blooming florals and creamy citrus notes rise from the glass. While in the mouth it has a fruit sweetness to it full of flavours of apples and pears. These flavours are accompanied by a smooth mouthfeel with a refreshing citrus kick to finish. At $16 a bottle, it’s a steal.
And yes I winosaur-ed the heck out of this bottle.
