Marri Wood Park 2014 Sparkling Chenin Blanc
Anyone else love ending the working week with some bubbles?
We cracked into this sparkling beauty last night which we kindly received from marri wood park as a sample (thank you).
As you’ll see on the back label of this 2014 Sparkling Chenin Blanc if you swipe across on the images above it was bio-dynamically and organically dry-grown, hand picked and sorted on their family owned and operated Demeter certified vineyard. This bubbly CB was naturally fermented, spent 5 years on lee’s and made in the traditional method from a single block of CB vines.
It was absolutely beautiful to drink! In the glass it has a gorgeous golden shimmer to it with notes of lemon curd topped toasted bread, spiced apple and pear pie and a whiff of citrus on the nose. While in the mouth it’s super sleek and smooth with plentiful juicy fruit that’s accompanied by still very bright and refreshing citrus fruit. This one is drinking absolutely beautifully right now $34.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
