Corryton Burge 2018 ‘The Brigadier’ Cab Sauvignon
So it was 30 degrees here yesterday and today was a high of 12 – WTF! Red wine and Netflix it is tonight then.
And this Corryton Burge 2018 ‘The Brigadier’ Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon would be the perfect wine for the occasion.
A big thank you to brother & sister team – Trent & Amelia for sending over this sample bottle for us to taste. We love trying new wines and getting to know new brands.
This wine was produced in honour of the siblings father – Grant Burge and his historic winemaking career.
It’s a beautifully inky dark red Cab in the glass. It’s aromatic with a savoury elegance to it, think deliciously cooked red meat with berry jus in the mouth and hints of leather and chocolate. In the mouth it’s juicy and full of dark berry + cassis and it has an extra smooth texture and long finish.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
