9th Fable by Usher Tinkler Wines 2018 Hunter Semillon

Semillon grapes make such delicious wine and the Hunter Valley is renowned for producing epic ones.

This 9th Fable by Usher Tinkler Wines 2018 Hunter Semillon is sold exclusively through Cellarmasters at $17 per bottle. I like this little snippet on the label:

Semillon, the Lone Wolf, a somewhat misunderstood creature is spirited and luminous at heart. Sometimes understated it has a depth of flavour yet remains pure, clean and not self indulgent.”

We found it a wonderful shade of lemon on the eye. The nose is rather herbaceous with plentiful citrus notes, spiced pear, lemongrass and a hint of navel orange. In the mouth, it’s juicy with a refreshing acidity yet a soft texture and flavours that cover the entire mouth.
