3drops 2018 Cabernets – Great Southern

Thank you Jo for sending this sample over for us to try. It was Mr Spittoon’s night in the kitchen (he made his signature bolognese dish – so good!), so I had a very relaxed evening and this wine was the perfect accompaniment.

On the eye it’s a deep velvet red colour. On the nose there’s an abundance of black fruits, warm leather and cherry cigars. While in the mouth it’s rich and bold yet elegant and perfectly balanced with black currants and berries. The tannins are definitely there and there’s a nice lingering finish too. More please!
