Twill & Daisy 2019 Nero d’Avola Rosé
Have you had a Rosé made from the Nero d’Avola grape variety?
Well thanks to brand new label – Twill & Daisy in South Australia, here’s your chance! I was lucky enough to receive a sample of this one to taste recently (thank you!).
Nero d’Avola is a grape variety which originated from Italy. It typically produces full-bodied, dry red wines however this Aussie brand has turned it into a fun and friendly rosé.
In the glass it’s like an orange-y red sunset shade. On the nose I straight away thought of strawberries and cream with some orange zest over the top. In the mouth it’s fruity yet dry, think liquid Turkish delight yet with an acidic crisp finish.
Who feels like popping a bottle of rosé this weekend?
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
