Terranu Wines 2016 Clare Valley Malbec
Did you know Malbec is celebrated on the 17th of April every year? Yep it’s officially Malbec World Day!
I was kindly sent this sample from the follks at Terranu Wines in South Australia (thank you!) to sample. I was trying to hold off until we had some blue cheese in the house (the recommended match on the back label), however I couldn’t help myself. Next time 😉

My tasting note
It’s a deep red brick – garnet shade in the glass with an interesting mix of meaty, floral and fruity aromas all in the one glass. There’s also a whiff of vanilla bean in there too. In the mouth it’s smooth with a lovely lingering finish and plenty of black and blueberry fruits coming through.
Food match
Steak and blue cheese sauce – heck yes!!
