Millon Wines The Royal Chardonnay 2018

Millon Wines The Royal Chardonnay 2018This will be the 87th Aussie Chardonnay I’ve logged in my Vivino wine app. I think I may be a bit of a Chardy fiend!

The Royal 2018 Millon Estate Chardonnay is made from Eden Valley (South Australia) fruit. While maturing, this royal Chardy spends time in French oak (about 9 months) to help give the wine a creamy texture. It also undergoes partial malolactic fermentation (tart malic acid is turned into softer lactic acid). Continue reading

Millon Wines The Impressionist 2018 Riesling

Millon Wines The Impressionist 2018 Riesling
I’m a sucker for a good Riesling. This Millon Wines ‘The Impressionist’ 2018 Riesling is made in South Australia’s Eden Valley and by gawd I love that label. So darn pretty don’t you think?

The Eden Valley is about 75kms from Adelaide. It’s known for its cooler climate and higher than average altitudes which are great for growing Riesling grapes. Continue reading

Cat Amongst The Pigeons Fat Cat 2018 Eden Valley ChardonnaySaturday was Fizzy & Crackle’s 5 year adoption anniversary, so it seemed fitting to open this tipple. They’re very spoilt kitties too, that’s their luxe teepee in the photo behind the bottle.

A big thanks to Dialogue PR for this sample bottle. You ladies nailed it on the head, cats + wine = one happy TC! Continue reading

Agonist derived from late Latin word agnista, means contender. By definition, an agonist is a muscle that contracts while another relaxes, an agonist produces an action while others sit idle. An agonist is also an advocate or champion of a particular cause
or idea, a catalyst for change.

Inspired by our long-standing dedication to sustainable practices, The Agonist range is the romantic anthology between organic farming and scientific enquiry” – via Temple Bruer Organic Wines.

I found this Gewürzt a pale yellow diamond shade in the glass. The nose evokes thoughts of quince, mango and honeyed florals. While in the mouth it nearly has a syrupy texture yet is fresh and full of citrus vibrancy. That floralness from the nose comes through on the palate too. I need more Gewürzt in my life! RRP $26.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

We recently cracked this sample of the Irvine Wines 2017 ‘The Estate’ Shiraz from the Eden Valley and it was the perfect classy tipple to enjoy before going out on our weekly date night. Continue reading
