Spinifex 2017 Rosé
On the 9th day of Christmas, The Wine Gallery sent to me a bottle of Spinifex 2017 Rosé from SA’s Barossa Valley in my wine advent calendar.
I was doing my Christmas baking today so I thought this rosé teamed with my Glass That Glitters and Christmas songs on Spotify would be perfect for the festivities.
It’s made from 3 grapes, Grenache, Mataro and Cinsault. And it most definitely would be a great Christmas wine as you’ll find it’ll match well with everything from the charcuterie and nibbles, the Xmas ham and turkey, the barbecued prawns and even to the pavlova for dessert.
It’s a pretty peach colour in the glass with bright orange highlights. On the nose think blood orange, juicy red apples and herbs. While in the mouth it’s bright and vibrant with notes of apples and pomegranates with a refreshing orange citrus finish. Yum!
