Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Essentiel Cuvee Reservee
We celebrated the big 3 month milestone for our little baby TC this week. Where does the time go?!
We figured we’d splurge on a bottle of champagne which we haven’t tried yet. This is not your standard Piper Heidsieck, it’s their Essentiel Cuvée Reservee which we bought for $65.
It’s made from the same base wines as the standard Piper NV however it has a lower dosage of 5g/l (therefore drier) and is aged an extra 12-18 months.
To be honest we found it really light and easy to consume. It’s a pretty white gold shade with tiny bubbles while on the nose there’s whiffs of camomile, pineapple, peach and minerality. In the mouth it’s smooth and delicate with more pineapple, stonefruit and crisp lemon.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
