Petaluma 2019 Sauvignon Blanc – Adelaide Hills
It’s Saturday which typically means cheese and wine for dinner in our house. It’s safe to say after 9 months of no soft cheeses, deli meats and wine that I’ve definitely made up for it over the last few weeks!
Last weekend our matched wine was this Petaluma Wine 2019 Sauvignon Blanc from the Adelaide Hills region in South Australia – thank you for the sample bottle Dialogue PR + Communications. I believe a small percentage of the wine is barrel fermented in French oak and the remainder in stainless steel.
We found it a pale yellow/green shade in the glass. Notes of juicy passionfruit and herbs (particularly lemongrass) rise from the glass. While in the mouth those tropical fruits entertain the palate with a hint of grassiness. Very moreish and great with some goats cheese.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
