Have you tried a wine made from the Italian grape variety – Sagrantino?
This 2015 example is made by Lou Miranda Estate, Barossa Valley and it’s just been released. A big thank you to the LME team for sending this sample over.
This is the 4th vintage of the LME Sagrantino.
- Recommend to decant it
- Only 4,000 bottles made
- 15% abv
In the glass, it’s a dark bricky red colour. Notes of sour cherries, violets and a savoury herby spice rise from the glass. While in the mouth it’s full of juicy red fruits, black tea tannins and dark chocolate covered coffee beans with a hint of mint on the finish. An interesting wine!
