Chapel Hill The Parson Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Looking to get your wine-loving taste buds around an award-winning Aussie Cabernet Sauvignon for only $20?
Introducing the Chapel Hill 2017 ‘The Parson’ Cab Sauv from McLaren Vale (South Australia). This pocket rocket won the Perennial Trophy at the 2018 Sydney Royal Wine Show for the Best Cabernet Sauvignon and yes you can buy it at Dan Murphy’s and BWS for only $20!
But not only that, but it also was ranked in the Top 50 with 96 points & a gold medal at New Zealand’s New World Wine Awards and is available at New World supermarkets across the country.
Did you know these 7 things about the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety?
Recommended food match: A juicy medium rare steak, fresh horseradish and steamed greens.
In the glass, it’s a garnet ruby red colour with notes of tar, black fruits of the forest and liquorice on the nose. In the mouth, it is juicy with a lovely cassis spiked flavour with a nice oomph of tannin dryness. Decant and enjoy over a couple of hours with some Cuvée Chocolate (the chocolate specifically made to match wine) is my recommendation 😉
A big thanks to Dialogue PR for sending this star sample over.
