McWilliams Stolen Colt 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

I left this tasting note up to the boys in the house seeing as this new range from McWilliam’s Wines has a male focus.

“Stolen Colt is a celebration of the tenacious spirit of founder Samuel McWilliam, who overcame the hardship of having his horses taken during the bandit county of 1877 and establishing an eight-acre vineyard from which these delicious wines are made.”

There’s this Cab Sauv and also a Shiraz in the range, both retailing for $16. The grapes are sourced from the Riverina region in New South Wales.

Earlier in the week you may have caught my tasting note for the McW Reserve 660 Cabernet Sauvignon which Mr Spittoon and I both really enjoyed. This 2017 Syrah from Canberra is the partner wine in the range, also retailing for $25.
