Peter Lehmann 2018 Portrait Grenache Rosé
PICNIC TIME || I loooove picnics and with the weather getting warmer it means we can drag out the picnic basket and fill it with plentiful goodies – like rosé wine.
This Peter Lehmann Wines 2018 Portrait Rosé is made from the Grenache grape variety. The Portrait range of wines from PL are aimed at ‘painting a portrait’ of the Barossa Valley by celebrating everything from the soil to the grapes to the people who make up this iconic Aussie wine region.
I found the 2018 Portrait Rosé a pretty pinky-orange peach colour in the glass. Notes of fresh orange zest, a hint of bitters and refreshing cranberry hit the nose. While in the mouth it’s juicy and fresh with a hint of strawberry sweetness, refreshing orange citrus and a sprinkling of baking spice. It’s the picnic-perfect pink wine.
A big thanks to Casella Family Brands for sending me this bottle to joyously sip.
