Domaine Santa Duc Les Plans 2015 Vin De Pays De Vaucluse
#winning It’s great when you pull a bottle out and your mother-in-law who doesn’t really drink enjoys it! This TC Wine Club bottle comes from the Rhône Valley in France and the Santa Duc domaine can be found in the famed town of Gigondas.
This producer uses local indigenous yeasts, low-yielding vines, small-batch methods, and minimal chemical intervention with an emphasis on respect for the fruit and land.
The wine is made from predominately Grenache with a small amount of Syrah, Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon. As it’s aged in concrete vats instead of oak, I knew the fruit and earthiness of the grapes would really shine in this wine. Read more on The Wine Gallery website >>
In the glass, it’s a garnet shade with plentiful red fruits, cherries and spiced rhubarb on the nose. In the mouth, the flavours pretty much mirror the nose. It’s juicy, fruity and hella approachable.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #winesample #tcweekdaywine
