Campbells Rutherglen NV Muscat
On the 10th day of Christmas, The Wine Gallery sent to me a bottle of Campbells Rutherglen NV Muscat from here in Victoria.
I loved the wine glass charms that were also behind door number 10 in my wine advent calendar today. Today’s joke is:
What do you call a bankrupt Santa?
Saint Nickle-less!
It’s a golden-brown syrupy colour in the glass. The nose is full of honeyed fruits, toffee nuts and warm mulled spices. While in the mouth it’s rich and sweet with a hint of maple syrup, touch of rosemary and a nice long finish. I decided to match it with blue cheese, Vino Bites Christmas Coulis and Gingersnaps (the Scandinavian ones, like you, get at Ikea). It went exceptionally well with the blue cheese splendidly.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #gifted #opinionsaremyown #tcweekdaywine
