The Margaret River Wine Region is internationally recognised as one of the top New World wine regions. It is particularly known for making some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon’s and Chardonnay’s in the world. Living in Perth, I am so lucky to only be 3 hours away from this gorgeous region therefore I wanted to create a wee guide so you can easily find all my Margs posts to help you plan your next visit to the region.
Firstly a little history! The first wine grape vines were planted in 1967 in Wilyabrup by Dr Tom Cullity on the property which he named ‘Vasse Felix’. Today there are over 120 wine producers in the area and Margaret River wines make up 5% of the international premium market which is absolutely insane when the region only contributes 3% of Australia’s wine grapes!
The list is not long (hopefully it’ll become longer soon!), but I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences in the Margaret River Wine Region:

My number one source for all my Margaret River Wine Region information from wineries to visit, accommodation options to booking tours is the Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association. There is plenty of information on their margaretriver.com website and they also have produced this fantastic Margaret River map so you can easily find your way between all the tasty spots in the region.
Ooo yes I loved House of Cards and Credaro… I’ll have to put Windows on the list for next time 🙂 Thanks Haley!
Great list! I always recommend House of Cards, Windows and Credaro (love their Chardonnay!)
