Happy 20th Birthday Faber Vineyard!
In case you didn’t catch my posts on social media yesterday, I was invited along to Faber Vineyard’s 20th birthday celebrations in the Swan Valley. We had an absolutely fabulous day out and the best news is, they’re celebrating all over again today in case you missed it yesterday (buy your tickets here)!
Faber 20th Birthday Celebrations
Faber are celebrating this Queens Birthday long-weekend in September on Sunday 24th September and Monday 25th of September from 11am – 5pm. Tickets are $65 per person and include:
- 2 x bottles of Faber Wine to take home
- Take home wine glass
- 6 vouchers to redeem on food, drinks or experiences (additional available for purchase on the day)
During the day you’re able to chat with the winemaker, John Griffiths alongside enjoying free wine tastings, vineyard tours (11:30am and 3pm), a unique Muscat barrel tasting from 12:30-1:30pm, an Aged Shiraz masterclass and a Swan Valley Varietals masterclass.
There is food to purchase (home-made soups; barbecue prawns, Greek lamb and spicy chicken skewers; locally made kranskys, Italian and British pork gourmet sausages; and couscous and roast pumpkin and green leaf salads), free live acoustic music and giveaways! Not to mention, plenty of special offers on wine to take home.
FYI an Uber from Guildford train station is only about $25 if you can’t find a skipper for the day 😉
As mentioned, we had a fantastic day, we enjoyed tastings, hot dogs and managed to attend 2 of the masterclasses (Swan Valley varietals and Shiraz – where we tried a 1992 Yalumba Shiraz from John’s cellar!). If you can make it out today then I highly suggest you do so. Here’s some pictures from yesterday to get your taste buds salivating…
