Wine on the go
If your stuck in the middle of no where, or simply at one of those hotels who just refuse to have a corkscrew or wine glass in the room (hello, what century are you living in!) then I have the perfect solution for you. Wine in a glass – simply tear off the foil and viola, wino is happy!
James Nashs’ idea was shot to pieces on the hit BBC series – Dragons Den. But now it is James who’s having the last laugh as large department store retailer – Marks and Spencer in the UK is struggling to keep up with demand for the on-the-go-wine.
The glass holds approximately a quarter of a bottle of wine, 187ml roughly and sells for a mere US$3.
It’s practical, versatile and so far has been a hit in the UK, perfect for picnics’, BBQs, concerts etc. I must say I wouldn’t turn one down, who knows the wine could rival that of Chateau Cardboard and then Mr. Nash might really have an epidemic on his hands!
The funny things is I spotted these wee gems months later in the South of France whilst backpacking. They were the perfect company while waiting for the washing to be done at the local laundromat!!
