Hey wine lovers!
If there’s one thing that gets me running to the front door, it’s the sound of a delivery van pulling up with a box of wine! Last month, we received an absolutely epic delivery from the folks at The Wine Collective .
Naturally, our 10kg black cat had to thoroughly inspect the box first (sorry guys, he wasn’t included in the delivery ), but once I finally got it open, I was in absolute wine heaven. We were kindly gifted this 6-pack from TWC (a massive thank you!!), and let me tell you, it is the perfect excuse to top up the wine rack for the cooler months ahead. ??

Before I delve into the juicy details, let’s give a moment to the super cool and educational packaging:

Who is The Wine Collective?
If you haven’t come across The Wine Collective before, let me give you the quick rundown! They aren’t just your average online bottle shop, they actually started way back in 1946 as The Wine Society. They are a proudly independent, Aussie-owned business that has been helping shape the Australian wine industry for over 70 years.
What I really love about them is their tasting panel. They have a team of experts who handpick, taste, and rate the wines they sell. With over 7,000 wines in their portfolio, they do the hard work of curating the best drops from Australia and around the globe, making it super easy for us to access incredible wine at really competitive prices. They even have complimentary Personal Wine Advisors if you want the true sommelier experience from home!
What’s in the box?
Our 6-pack was the perfect mixed case to transition into the autumn weather:
- Two Brothers Organic Margaret River Chardonnay 2025: You guys know I can’t resist a Margaret River Chardy, and this organic beauty from Two Brothers is absolutely singing! It delivers a gorgeous hit of juicy white peach and bright citrus, wrapped up in a lovely creamy texture with just a gentle kiss of oak. It’s fresh, elegant, and dangerously easy to sip on a sunny afternoon!

- Terrescure Bernardeschi IGT Governo All’uso Toscano 2022: Seriously you can’t go wrong with pizza and Italian red. This one transported us back to Tuscany which we visited in 2011. Such an amazing place! Made using a traditional technique that gives it an incredibly rich, velvety texture, it’s bursting with lush dark cherries, ripe plums, and a touch of sweet spice.

- Hesketh GAR Cabernet Shiraz 2021: This iconic ‘Great Australian Red’ is a glorious blend of Coonawarra Cabernet and McLaren Vale Shiraz. It is seriously plush and generous! Expect a beautiful explosion of dark berries and plums, layered with warm earthy spice, a touch of liquorice, and a silky-smooth finish. We had this alongside some lamb and roasted carrots and boy it went down well!

- Arturo Heathcote Nero d’Avola 2024: Nero d’Avola is not typically a steak wine, but I have to admit it was pretty yummy alongside this steak and Netflix dinner. It’s an incredibly bright, medium-bodied drop that brings pure Sicilian charm to your glass.

- Six Js vineyard 2024 Gamay: This vibrant Yarra Valley Gamay is absolutely bursting with juicy red cherries and cranberries, backed by a delicate, savoury spice and a hint of dried herbs. It’s incredibly bright, refreshing, and the ultimate cool-climate red to sip on a crisp evening!

- Fowles Small Batch Reserve Vermentino 2025: Another pizza night on the deck and this Vermentino was absolutely bursting with flavour. Think vibrant lemon, lime, and gorgeous floral aromatics.

We thoroughly enjoyed a these bottles and before you ask, yes I would buy and drink them again!
