Little Giant Wines Barossa Shiraz
Did you know that you can help our wombats by drinking wine?
And very tasty wine mind you!
The wonderful Little Giant Wines by Fourth Wave Wine have partnered with wildlife rescue organisation Wires Wildlife Rescue who help thousands of gorgeous Aussie wombats who have suffered injuries, many of which if left untreated can cause a slow and painful death.
Being a huge animal lover myself – when I was approached about this initiative there was no doubt that I wanted to spread the word as far as I could.
Plus Baby TC loved the little wombat toy that came in the media pack – thank you Bay Public Relations.
The wine is from South Australia and it’s SA where the southern hairy-nosed wombat actually reigns. This Barossa Shiraz is available for $22 from all major liquor retailers across the country. The range also includes Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Cabernet and Grenache. With proceeds going towards the wombats.

Firstly before I dip into my notes. I love the short stumpy bottle this wine comes in – so cute!
The wine is a lovely deep garnet colour in the glass. On the nose it smells warm and toasty with berries and sweet vanillin oak coming through for me. In the mouth it’s smooth and full bodied with a long juicy finish. Very yummy and all for a great cause.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
