Christmas Gifts For Wine Lovers (2018 Edition)

Christmas Gifts for Wine Lovers 2018It’s that time of the year, and I’m excited! I looooove Christmas time. The wine, the food, the family & friends – it’s just such a great time of the year. Whenever I put together my annual ‘gifts for wine lovers’ post, it’s basically a list of:

a) Products I’ve tried and love
b) My wish list of products I want (hint hint Mr Spittoon)

So let’s get merry and delve into what I think of some of the hottest Christmas gifts for wine lovers this year.

2019 Wine & Food Calendar (12 Bottles + 12 Recipes + 12 Months)

I recently received a sample of the Wine Selectors 2019 Calendar Collection – Chef & The Cellar and I absolutely love the concept. Basically, the idea is that you buy the case for $195 and with it comes 12 bottles mixed, white or red wines that you can’t find just anywhere. Along with the wines you get a gorgeous wine and food calendar. This 2019 calendar is full of 12 recipes by 12 super talented chefs to match the 12 bottles of wine.

I was actually talking about this with my Mum recently in NZ and she said a few years back one of the foodie mags in NZ did a similar sort of recipe + wine match each month. Her and my Dad would take turns at cooking the recipe each month. How cute is that!

It’s the perfect gift for the wine and food lover if your life. Or for yourself ;)

TraVino Insulated Wine Tumblers (also good for hot beverages)

I do love a practical gift. If you know a camping-lover or beach-lover who enjoy taking their wine with them, then these gorgeous glittery wine tumblers are for them! They hold nearly half a bottle of wine in them (355ml) and will keep a beverage cold for up to 12 hours and hot for up to 6 hours. From coffee to wine I say! However, make sure you give them a good clean (by hand!) in between.

They are available in white Unicorn Sparkles, purple Ultra Violet and Aqua Mist.

I was lucky enough to receive a media sample of these babies recently. You can read all about mine and Mr Spittoon’s thoughts on these wine tumblers here.

Cuvee Chocolate (specially made to match wine!)

If you follow me on social media, then you will have seen Cuvee Chocolate pop up a few times. This chocolate is AMAZING! Plus the best thing is that it matches so well with wine. I did a test run with Cuvee Chocolate about 18 months ago and I haven’t looked back! Actually, I might go get a few pieces now! Thanks to my friends over at Just In Time Gourmet, I always have my cupboard well stocked with this choccie!

Sunglasses Made from Pinot Barrels

Okay so this was my present to myself for Christmas last year. I absolutely love my Mt Difficulty Wine Barrel Duskies. They’re designed and made in New Zealand and are worth the $195 price tag, trust me!

South by South West Wine Tee

The wonderful Naomi bought me this tee and I love it! I love it for its wine-ness and also for being Western Australian made. Thank you Naomi!

Champagne Gummy Bears

I haven’t tried these yet, but they are definitely on my list to try! I recently came across Sugarcube Australia on Instagram and I have to admit they look rather scrumptious. A great stocking filler for the wine lover in your life.

LipSense Wine Proof Lipstick

Where has LipSense been all my life? I love red lipstick but I hate how it gets all over my wine glass, not to mention smudging all over the show. Earlier this year the lovely Tracey from Hello Kisses introduced me to this fab lippie and I haven’t looked back.

VinoFood & WineSpa

The amazing people behind The Lake House in WA’s Denmark, not only create wine but food items made with wine in the mix and also beauty products. I have tried and tested so many of these gorgeous and delicious products and can 100% vouch for them.

TC Wine Club Box!

How can I do a Christmas gifts for wine lovers blog post without mentioning The Travelling Corkscrew Wine Club! If you don’t already know, I partner with The Wine Gallery to curate my own monthly box of 3 wines each month. It’s a heck load of fun and I promise that I pick good wines ;)

  1. Some great ideas in here and thank you for avoiding wine openers, etc as we’ve exhausted those options! Wouldn’t it be nice if Santa brought us a Coravin this year… ;)

Grab a glass of wine and let me know what you think...
